Research topics

Our activities are focused on:

  • Preparation and studies of coordination complexes and control of their properties via the use of rigid and semi-rigid ligands,
  • Synthesis of molecular materials based on tetrapyrrolic macrocycles,
  • Energy and electron transfers in supramolecular scaffolds,
  • Study of sigma-hole interactions (halogen and chalcogen bonds) in solution,
  • Halogen/Chalcogen bond catalysis,
  • Synthesis of chiral and luminescent organometallic cyclotribenzylenes and metallo-cryptophanes for the detection of small molecules,
  • Development of hydroxamate-type ligands specific for lanthanides and actinides for applications in nuclear medicine.

Keywords: Molecular materials, Self-assembly, Molecular electronics, Surface organization, Weak interactions, Porphyrins, Bipyridines, Cyclophanes, Sigma-Hole, Catalysis, Chalcogen Bond, Metallo-cryptophanes, Chelators for medical imaging, radiotherapy and therapy with actinide chelators.
