Cover abstract :
Selective transmetallation from copper(I) or silver (I) to palladium(0) at P donors of the rigid multidentate ligand PCNHCP results when [M3(μ3‐PCNHCP)2](OTf)3 (M=Cu, Ag) reacts with [Pd(PPh3)4]. The graphic illustrates the double short‐bite nature of the ligand system that stabilizes the metal chain and favors attractive d10‐d10 closed‐shell interactions without restraining reactivity.
