  • Structural studies by liquid- and solid-state NMR of membrane proteins and membrane peptides : Bilayers, bicelles, micelles, oriented and non-oriented media.
  • Dynamic Nuclear Polarization / solid state NMR of lipid membranes.
  • Reconstitution of polypeptides in oriented bilayers and oriented bicelles.
  • Bacterial Overexpression and purification of membrane proteins.
  • Chemical synthesis of peptides.
  • Study of the interactions of membrane polypeptides by NMR, optical and calorimetric techniques.
  • Studies of the mechanism of action of cell penetrating peptides, peptide-mediated transport of nucleic acids, of viruses used in gene therapy (transfection and transduction) by solid-state NMR and by other biophysical techniques.
  • Interactions of between polypeptides and between proteins and lipids within lipid bilayers, peptide oligomerisation in bilayers.
  • Mechanisms of action and design of peptide antibiotics, pores and membrane channels.
  • Study of amyloids.
